Vishakapatnam is a multi-faceted City in the State of Andhra Pradesh. It has the HPCL Oil Refinery, Vizag Steel Plant; Vizag Shipyard, which is the oldest Shipyard in India. Vizag Port is one of India's busiest Ports. Vizag is home to one of India's biggest Naval establishments, it is the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command, just like Cochin is Headquarters of the Southern Naval Command. Fabulous beaches, some of the biggest names in India's Hotel industry have Hotels on the Beach road and elsewhere in Vizag. Vizag Zoo, so many historical Temples and religious sites, gourmet Andhra coastal cuisine ......every which way you look at it, this is a City on India's East Coast that merits a visit, once in your lifetime. Not to forget, I have been totally impressed with the friendliness and simplicity of the local population. Three cheers, Vizag!!
