Kanchipuram to Vijaywada - Day 5

Good evening friends,

A thoroughly enjoyable 520 km drive from Kanchipuram to Vijaywada! For the first time since we left Cochin on Friday the 25th morning, we had 4 / 6- lane highways at our disposal, all through the drive. Reminded me so much of my regular Bangalore - Ernakulam drives (550 kms in 8 hours). Plus, today being a public holiday ( Mahashivaratri), I'm guessing that cud be a reason for the thinner traffic. At 6.30 am, this morning, we thot Guntur was our destination and we shud arrive there by 3.30 / 4 pm (480 kms). When we realised we wud be in Guntur by 1.30 pm, we quickly altered our Hotel bookings (within the cancellation window) and rebooked for Vijaywada, just 40 kms away from Guntur. That will mean a little less driving tomorrow ☺️. 

People might be wondering why Guntur / Vijaywada! Well, the mapped route was Vailankanni to Vizag. But, we had to break journey somewhere, and that's how Kanchipuram and now, Vijaywada (earlier Guntur) came into the picture. Mikael is doing well....both the passengers, too, are well, by the grace of God🙏

Breakfast, enroute, was at Adyar Anantha Bhavan,  just after the Chennai byepass, excellent dosas, pooris and coffee; and lunch was at Vijaywada. Smacking good Mutton biryani with Prawns masala! 😅

Words will not suffice to express awe and admiration for Google Maps, Music Apps, Bluetooth, and, all the technology around us. What wud we have done without Google maps!👏✌
